North Coast Modern was started in 2014 in California by Mat and Katie Anderson. From humble beginnings in their garage, Mat found his creative outlet by repurposing vintage discarded furniture pieces, reimagining them in a modern style. That led to building his own original furniture styles in 2015 and devoting himself full time to his new business and specializing in customization to fit his customers’ needs.
In 2019 we moved to Tennessee after losing our Paradise, CA place to the 2018 Camp Fire which burned the entire town.
All our products are built 100% in the USA in our Knoxville shop, and we ship nationwide to your door. We look forward to building your own custom piece for your home to enjoy for years to come!
